Leah Cox, Director of the California Task Force on Youth and Workplace Wellness, is a credentialed teacher with a triple emphasis in Cross Cultural Language Acquisition and Development, Language Arts and Social Sciences. She has more than 10 years of teaching, training, and related experience in the education and wellness fields. She is the former program director for the Youth Action League and the founding program manager for the Statewide Youth Board on Obesity Prevention. Her background also includes start-up and management of kQuest Learning Adventure, a non-profit organization that supported middle and high school students and their families through academic challenges. As the Task Force director, Leah oversees several programs, including the CA Fit Business Award. This program has tripled since Leah’s tenure and now includes a series of annual trainings, an application and award event, and workplace consultation services. As an educator and trainer, she has a keen interest in and commitment to health and wellness issues. Leah also trained for and completed her first half marathon, triathlon and full marathon in 2008.
